Minnesota Student Spotlight
Amelia Hoffbeck, Class of 2021
Hometown: Hastings, MN
Major: Math with a pre-med track (Amelia is on track to graduate in four years.)
Why did you choose º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½?
I chose º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ because I was looking for a school where I could do many things: math,
music, and languages.
Tell us about the financial aid process. Was it a factor in your decision?
Financial aid and scholarships was definitely a factor in my decision. It was cheaper for me to "go out of state" to a private school than to go to a Minnesota state school. I also earned a Jennings scholarship and my mom liked that.
Tell us about your º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ experience.
I'd always heard that you should go visit your professors during office hours and that was true. It was actually helpful. Professors here remember you. º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ has lived up to its reputation as being an academically challenging school.
